iContact
iContact was founded in 2003 by Ryan Allis (then 18) and Aaron Houghton (then 21) while both were attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Their software allows businesses, non-profit organizations, and associations to easily create, publish, and track email newsletters, surveys, blogs, autoresponders, and RSS feeds. The iContact Corporation invests in aggressive customer acquisition through online marketing — and retains a smart, world-class team. In 2008 iContact was ranked No. 85 on the Inc. 500, an annual ranking of the country’s top 500 fastest-growing, private companies. Beacon & Milestone provided design services on several projects for iContact throughout late 2008.
